This necklace has three different lengths and three different sizes of white Chinese fresh water (bead nucleated) pearls. These pearls are often erroneously referred to as "Chinese Akoya" because they are nucleated with a round shell bead and the process of grafting is much more labor intensive. The pearls range in size from 5.7mm - 12mm. The shortest strand is 15" long 18". The clasp is a vintage piece from the Pacific Pearls shop in Hong Kong.
